Gregg Kunemund Joins Board of Advisors to Improve NEMT System

An accomplished healthcare and insurance specialist, Mr. Kunemund has more than three decades of experience in strategic consulting and specialized business Health Care solutions. As the Health Plan Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for United Healthcare Medicare & Retirement, Mr. Kunemund was responsible for organizing and managing relationships across healthcare regulators and providers, claims management services, service operations, and medical management entities. He previously served as Manager of Medicare Group Retiree & Individual Products Operations for BCBS Florida, as well as AvMed Director of Medicare & Medicaid Products & Service Operations. As of 2022, Mr. Kunemund founded and serves as President and CEO of GK Healthcare Consulting Group, consulting on government-sponsored health plans and specialized business Health Care solutions.

Greggs expansive knowledge of regulatory, provider, claims, service operations, and medical management will be invaluable as Safr Care endeavors to streamline the non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) system and eradicate the $150 billion annual loss to the US healthcare system due to patient no-shows to their medical appointments, says Safr Care CEO, Syed Gilani.
